The way I see it, people have yet to be adequately recognized. They are brand advocates & haters, ambivalent & passionate, loyal and fickle. Sometimes all at once. As such, they are extremely inconvenient. You could easily just do things your own way and get along ok. But are you really in this business for “ok?”
Give people some credit! They are, after all, the ones searching for your product, socializing about you, and using your site. Frankly, a business isn’t anything without them. The question for you is: Will these be pleasant & enjoyable experiences that drive them back to you?
The Recognition Effect says, “Absolutely.”
